Edward Lucas is the Central and Eastern European correspondent for The Economist and his new book The New Cold War analyses the new dangers and risks we face in our dealings with Putin's new autocratic Russia. Whilst the book is somewhat short (300 pages), for such an expansive subject, it's a fascinating starting point for further reading which I most certainly will be.
